Duhok, Iraqi Kurdistan – The al-Qaeda offshoot group, known as the Islamic State (IS/ISIL), claimed responsibility for the beheading of the British hostage Alan Henning.

On Friday, IS released a video showing the murder of Henning by the hand of a member of the extremist group.

The British Prime Minister David Cameron confirmed the authenticity of the video of the beheading of the UK aid worker.

“This crime shows the degree of brutality of the Islamic State’s terrorists,” Cameron commented on the incident.

“Alan went to Syria to deliver humanitarian aid for people from different sects as they were in need,” the British PM said.

Cameron vowed to pursue IS militants saying that the UK will do whatever it takes to locate these criminals and bring them to justice.
