Damascus, Syria – On Sunday, the pro-regime warplanes bombed several cities and towns in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, south of Syria.

Yezen Ibrahim, civil activist based in Damascus, stated to ARA News that the pro-Assad warplanes were heavily seen over the capital Damascus, striking Maliha town on the Damascus International Airport road with rockets, without recording any casualties.

Hitting Maliha coincided with clashes between the pro-regime forces and the Shiite militants of Lebanese Hezbollah on one hand, and opposition fighters of the Islamic Union for Ajnad al-Sham and Faylaq al-Rahman on the other hand at the outskirts of the town.

“The pro-Assad warplanes carried out several air raids on the town of Misraba in the Eastern Ghouta as well as on Jobar neighbourhood east of Damascus, while similar strike hit Kafr Batna town,” Ibrahim added.

This comes as the pro- regime forces, stationed on Salh al-Tair Mount in Damascus countryside, bombarded the town of Taiba with heavy artillery, without recording casualties.
